Ibiza has more than 80 beaches, and the most beautiful ones share a secret: you can't reach them by road. No car parks, no crowds, no beach-bar music — just clear water and raw coastline. After years of running charters, these are the coves our captains return to again and again.
1.Cala d'Hort & Es Vedrà
The most magical view in Ibiza. Cala d'Hort looks straight out at Es Vedrà, the mysterious rock island rising 400 metres from the sea. We anchor here for swimming and stay for the light — it's unreal at golden hour. A must on any sunset cruise.
2.Atlantis (Sa Pedrera)
A hidden cove of ancient stone quarries and natural rock pools, carved into the cliffs near Es Vedrà. There's no road in — only a hard hike or, far better, arrival by boat. Turquoise water meets golden rock. One of Ibiza's most special places.
3.Cala Salada & Cala Saladeta
Two linked coves just north of San Antonio, framed by pine trees and red cliffs. Saladeta, the smaller second cove, has some of the clearest water on the island and is far quieter when you arrive by sea.
4.Cala Bassa & Cala Comte
Legendary west-coast water — layered turquoise that's almost luminous, best at golden hour. Reachable by road but mobbed in summer; by boat you anchor offshore in the clear shallows, away from the crowds. See our sunset cruise guide for the best timing.
5.Es Palmador
A tiny uninhabited island on the way to Formentera, with a wadeable sandbar and famous natural mud baths. A perfect stop to combine with a Formentera day trip.
6.Cala Gracioneta
A pocket-sized cove near San Antonio with a single beach restaurant right on the water. Tiny, sheltered and gorgeous — the kind of place you'd never find unless someone showed you.
7.Cala Mastella & the northeast
On the calmer northeast coast, a string of small, green-backed coves far from the party side of the island. Quiet anchorages, crystal water, and the famous little fish restaurant tucked into the rocks.
💡 The beauty of a private boat: you're not locked to one beach. A typical day links three or four of these coves, and your skipper reads the wind to keep you in the calmest, clearest water all day.
How to see them
